Overview

The Bachelor of Arts in Speech Therapy from Phoenicia University  is aligned with internationally recognized standards, ensuring students receive an in-depth and well-rounded education encompassing a wide spectrum of speech and language pathology aspects. 

This includes early intervention, articulation disorders, phonological disorders, voice disorders, fluency disorders, pragmatic language disorders, stuttering, aphasia and various other facets of the field.

Educational Objectives

• Equip students with a comprehensive understanding of typical and atypical development in speech therapy, encompassing speech, language, hearing, communication, and swallowing, while incorporating interdisciplinary perspectives from fields such as genetics, neurology, linguistics, and psychology.

• Prepare students to demonstrate knowledge and skills in prevention, assessment, and intervention for individuals with diverse speech-related disorders, including the ability to critically evaluate evidence and apply evidence-based practices.

• Offer experiential learning opportunities through internships in various speech and language pathology domains, providing students with hands-on experience to develop clinical skills, problem-solving abilities, and cultural competence.

• Assess, diagnose, treat, and help prevent speech, language, communication, voice, cognitive, swallowing, and fluency disorders. 

• Contribute to research, education, and healthcare settings, including outpatient departments, children's centers, day centers, and nursing homes. 

• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive services for patients.
