Programme Highlights
- A degree to produce professional game artists: The BA (Hons) Games Art programme focuses specifically on how to produce industry quality and visually pleasing games art. Students will finish the programme with an expert understanding of professional game development tools, and be able to rapidly create game prototypes and fully polished gaming experiences.
- Practical and project-based learning: The best way to learn about game art is by making games. This programme allows students to develop innovative gaming projects for many of their assessments, which leads to rapid growth in their game development abilities.
- A skill-based curriculum: The aim of this award is to produce graduates who have the specific skills to work in the Games Industry as Game Artists. Throughout their course, students will have the skills to work in multiple areas across the 3D artist spectrum including Environment Art, Character Artist and Vehicle Artist.
- A collaborative studio environment: To facilitate the development of interpersonal skills, including cooperation and communication; students will work with like-minded people in a modern, well-equipped studio environment that encourages support and collaboration.
Career Opportunities
Upon graduation, Games Arts students will have the skills and experience from a course designed for success. Graduates will find themselves thriving in a wide range of work environments such as in international and local tech corporations, game companies, or independent or home studios.

Academic Requirements
- Aged 17 or over. One of the following qualifications:
- Vietnamese High School Diploma and Pathway to Staffordshire University Programme
- Pass 2 subjects at Advanced GCE (A-Level)
- An access programme passed at the required QAA-recognised standard for entry to Higher Education
- An award of the European Baccalaureate Diploma, with at least 60 percent overall; English at 60 percent
- An award of the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 24 points; English at 4 points
IELTS (non-UKVI): 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component; or equivalent
