Key Features
The Bachelor of Arts in German Studies (Honours) offered at University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg is designed to further students’ knowledge and critical thinking skills. Students will be introduced to various literary texts set both in the Global South and North across four modules (Literature and Society, Contemporary German Literature, Canonical Texts and, Fantasy, Science Fiction and the Fiction of the Unreal).
In addition, students will be required to write a long essay on a topic of their choice in consultation with German Studies staff.
