Those who successfully complete this Architecture degree delivered by Kadir Has University will earn a bachelor's degree in architecture. (European Qualifications Framework for Higher Education Area QF-EHEA: Level 1, European Qualifications Framework (EQF): Level 6)
Key facts
Candidates must take the YGS, LYS, or DGS exams administered by ÖSYM, obtain a sufficient score, and submit their preferences. Placement is centrally handled by ÖSYM. Candidates who have completed high school abroad may also be accepted to the program if they meet the requirements set by the University. Transfers to the program are also permitted within the framework of the Kadir Has University Associate and Undergraduate Programs Horizontal Transfer Regulation. Program Qualifications
- 1- Can combine and apply theoretical and technical knowledge regarding design methods and techniques in an integrated architectural design process.
- 2- Have the skills to research current urban, social situations and legal regulations, develop programs at different scales including future predictions, prepare projects, and implement them in communication with relevant institutions and individuals.
- 3- They will have the ability to think abstractly, systematically and critically, to reflect their thoughts into the design process and to express them with appropriate representation tools (drawing, model, digital technology, etc.).
- 4- Have knowledge of architectural approaches, practices, discourses and theories at historical and current, global and local scales, and have the ability to evaluate them by establishing historical and inter-contextual relationships and present them orally and in writing.
- 5- Ability to take responsibility in various roles within the team during architectural design and/or research processes and to share knowledge, skills and competencies.
- 6- They will have the understanding to approach architectural design with sensitivity to user rights, social justice, professional ethics and responsibilities, and by observing the principles of design for everyone.
- 7- Be aware of current problems related to the natural and built environment, and have the responsibility to make sustainable designs that respect the natural and cultural heritage.
- 8- Have basic knowledge and competence in urban design and the ability to relate this knowledge to current urban problems and discourses.
- 9- Have the ability to relate the knowledge gained about the behavior of load-bearing systems and the production of contemporary load-bearing systems to architectural design.
- 10- Have the ability to understand the basic principles and application methods of building envelope, building service systems, building detail design and to relate them to architectural design.
- 11- Have the ability to understand the basic principles of production, use and application of building materials and building production techniques and to relate this knowledge to architectural design.
- 12- Has the responsibility to apply the professional practical knowledge acquired regarding architectural design within the framework of social responsibility awareness and ethical values.
