Your parents only want what is best for you. Choosing a major at university is an important decision and one that impacts your life long after you graduate. Therefore, it is important to listen to your parents when deciding what to study. But what if you are unsure about what you want to do for the rest of your life? What if you do not want to decide now, but want to get some experience of your own, and then make a better decision?

As a student at Liberal Arts and Sciences you will take a wide variety of courses over your first two semesters, and only after this decide what your major will be. Furthermore, you will be able to choose from traditional American University of Central Asia programs, as well as an entire set of new and innovative curricula designed to take advantage of the flexible LAS model.

Employment rate of LAS Alumni

The employment rate results are based on the 2024 survey collected from alumni during the 10th anniversary celebration of the Liberal Arts and Sciences department at AUCA.

The employment data from the 2024 LAS alumni survey reveals that the majority (34.9%) are employed in the private sector, indicating strong integration into business and commercial enterprises. Education and research organizations, along with international organizations, each account for 16.3% of alumni employment, demonstrating a significant presence in academia and global institutions. A smaller proportion (9.3%) work in NGOs, while the financial sector and public sector (government institutions) have limited representation. Additionally, some alumni work as English tutors, and a few indicated that they are not currently employed (N/A). These findings suggest that LAS graduates pursue diverse career paths, with a strong presence in corporate roles, academia, and international organizations.
