How you’ll grow
- Demonstrate an understanding of the nature, characteristics and behaviour of tourists as consumers and the influence on tourist demand and sustainable tourism systems.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the dynamic global social, cultural, physical, economic and political environments in which sustainable tourism phenomena exist.
- Describe and explain sustainable tourism products, structure, operations and interactions within the tourism sector in New Zealand and internationally.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the requirements of sustainable tourism development in New Zealand derived from obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi.
- Select and apply appropriate research skills and techniques to specific sustainable tourism issues and challenges.
