The Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (BCS) trains people with a solid foundation and a broad spectrum of skills in the field of information science and technology.
The BCS graduate is a professional with the ability to:
analyze complex systems (companies, services, natural and artificial systems)
identify crucial processes in a systematic way
propose models and solutions that can be implemented using technologies and IT systems.
The capabilities developed by studying universal scientific tools and methods allows our graduates to quickly fit into different work contexts, adapting to the rapid innovation that characterizes the sector.
Curriculum
In the first two years the programme provides a fundamental background in mathematics and a solid background in the main fields of computer science (for instance, programming, algorithms, databases, computer networks, etc.). Then the course evolves into a choice of more specific courses.
Career Opportunities
The Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (BCS) allows both access to higher levels of study in the IT area and direct entry into the working world at the end of the programme through solid technical training in various IT fields, for example networks, systems, data management and representation. Graduates in BCS can access work activities in the design, organization, development, management and maintenance of IT systems.

Admissions Criteria
To be admitted applicants are required to:
- Hold a secondary school diploma awarded in Italy or other qualifications recognized as equivalent awarded abroad and at least 12 years of schooling.
- Pass the admission test in English.
- Applicants must also submit their online application
The minimum score to pass the test is 18 out of 50 for EU candidates. The Selection Committee will evaluate only the application of candidates who passed the admission test in English. Only the five highest-ranked applicants will be admitted to the program; the other eligible candidates will be placed in a waiting list. Applicants will be notified of the Committee's decision by email. Admitted candidates shall:
promptly confirm their place by email
pay the enrollment confirmation fee
upload the required documents

Funding
Scholarships for non-EU citizens living abroad
Top-scoring candidates will be entitled to receive a UniTrento scholarship according to availability. Students who benefit from a UniTrento scholarship will also have the tuition fees waived.
Scholarships for EU Citizens and Non-EU citizens regularly living in Italy
Information on the tuition fees and ISEE is available on Infostudenti. Please note that if you do not want to calculate the ISEE index (economic index of the financial situation of your family), you will have to pay the maximum amount.
Once the ISEE has been calculated students, if eligible, can apply for the Opera Universitaria scholarship, starting from June/July.
