About

The Smart Mechanical Design and Analysis program at University of Ulsan is constantly striving to cultivate engineers who understand the basic principles of smart manufacturing in the convergence field of knowledge-based machinery industries, which is centered around the specialized business of the Southeast region such as ship IT, marine plants, and intelligent home industries.

The university have developed a joint education program with competent professors from major universities in Gyeongsangnam-do and Ulsan, as well as industry experts, to cultivate engineering professionals with specialized skills and creativity. Furthermore, it operates an industry-oriented education program utilizing advanced laboratory environments for hands-on experience and practical training.

Aims of education

Establishing a system for cultivating design and analysis professionals who can overcome and enhance the manufacturing industry in the Ulsan-Gyeongnam region, and training them as experts in smart machine design and analysis.
Training professionals through undergraduate interdisciplinary education focused on job competencies that are universally applicable in the manufacturing industry.
Developing global professionals with smart machine design and analysis capabilities.
Fostering fusion talent with creativity, problem-solving skills, communication and collaboration abilities, and networking skills.

An applicant with non-Korean nationality and both of their parents having non-Korean nationality
High school graduates (or expected graduates) in Korea or overseas must hold or expect to have high school qualifications. As a minimum, an applicant must have a qualification considered to be equivalent to a Year 12 qualification (completion of high school) in Korea.
