About

The educational goal of the Textile Design program at University of Ulsan is to foster excellent professional individuals who can actively cope with changes in a rapidly changing design business.

To this end, the major helps students to acquire the required techniques of dyeing, weaving, and raw silk, which are considered a detailed specialty of textile design. Students can learn understand the textile design market and acquire practical business skills and problem-solving abilities by actively participating in domestic and foreign festival industry’s while attending school.

Aims of Education

The program aims to cultivate competent design professionals who will play important roles in various fields, including high value-added textile and material industries by encouraging students to participate in global internships, international contests, international textile fairs and overseas exchange exhibitions. An applicant with non-Korean nationality and both of their parents having non-Korean nationality
High school graduates (or expected graduates) in Korea or overseas must hold or expect to have high school qualifications. As a minimum, an applicant must have a qualification considered to be equivalent to a Year 12 qualification (completion of high school) in Korea.
