About
The goal of the Painting program at University of Ulsan is to cultivate future talents who will play important roles in the international art stage as well as in Korea. By offering curriculum from traditional Western painting techniques to modern experimental art, students can have opportunities to express their potential and establish their own identity.
In addition, art-related theoretical courses and liberal arts courses are opened to support students' creative will, and high-tech audiovisual equipment and materials are currently used to provide students to awaken their imagination and pursue individuality.
Aims of Education
- Not only Traditional methods of drawing, engraving, painting but also New media such as photography, computer, video, material installation by offering a living education that narrows the gap between school classes and reality.
- To build their own unique world of art through various formative experiences
- To be equipped with basic and advance art knowledge, concept generation, and mastery of implementation and rendering skills to the following
- To provide a comprehensive education that fosters innovation and sustains tradition

Applicants should satisfy the following condition.
- An applicant with non-Korean nationality and both of their parents having non-Korean nationality
- High school graduates(or expected graduates) in Korea or overseas must hold or expect to have high school qualifications. As a minimum, an applicant must have a qualification considered to be equivalent to a Year 12 qualification (completion of high school) in Korea.
