About

The Instrumental Music program at University of Ulsan has strived to foster musicians who can play leading roles in various arts organizations and orchestras.

The major is currently equipped with incomparable faculty and program in the pursuit of improving the overall level and quality of local music and producing fine next-generation musicians in South Gyeongsang Province. The major in Instrumental Music has cultivated not only top-notch orchestral musicians, but also excellent ensemble performers, orchestra members, future music instructors and professors.

Aims of Education

Aims to acquire professional skills including advanced technique performance, theory, and musicality.

To improve the performance of various strings including soloists, chamber music, and orchestras, to an excellent level

To familiarize students with the basic music theories necessary for the operation of orchestral music including orchestral music, counterpoint, and music analysis.
To be equipped with on-site adaptability and work ethics necessary for students’ activities in various fields, such as orchestra as a professional performer

High school graduates(or expected graduates) in Korea or overseas must hold or expect to have high school qualifications. As a minimum, an applicant must have a qualification considered to be equivalent to a Year 12 qualification (completion of high school) in Korea.
