Overview
About
The Vocal program at University of Ulsan currently provides special counselling to students having difficulties with keeping up with the classes every semester. Through this, the level of students’ academic performance keeps high.
The Vocal program has continuously made efforts to cultivate performers and music educators who can play a pivotal role in society. Comprehensive programs including ensemble, command method, modern music and minor education allow students to look into various career paths after their graduation. The major also provide students with opportunities to expand students’ artistic world through actual performances at regular concerts, operas, and solo concerts.
Aims of Education
The program aims to develop each students’ music talents, cultivate their skills, and to train talented vocalists and music educator with theory and practical skills based on a number of performance experiences.
Other aims:
- To cultivate talented professional vocalists through systematic music theory education, the education of oratorio, opera practice and related vocalization, and acting methods.
- To expand students’ creativity through the accumulation of various performance and experiences such as regular concerts, operas, and solo concerts.
- To offer a comprehensive education program of ensemble, conducting method, and contemporary music which support students to advance into various fields after graduation.

Applicants should satisfy the following condition.
- An applicant with non-Korean nationality and both of their parents having non-Korean nationality
- High school graduates(or expected graduates) in Korea or overseas must hold or expect to have high school qualifications. As a minimum, an applicant must have a qualification considered to be equivalent to a Year 12 qualification (completion of high school) in Korea.
