About

The Industrial Design program at University of Ulsan is divided into detailed majors in product design, environmental design, and furniture design. It aims to cultivate students’ ability to creatively solve and shape problems in living and system furniture, industrial products, transportation equipment, public facilities and environmental structures, service systems and environmental design fields. 

The theory and practice are taught harmoniously for the shaping ability of problem-solving ability and artistic sensibility, imagination and expression ability. In particular, through the lectures offered academic-industrial collaboration with many enterprises across the country currently offers various practical experiences to students. 

The major also helps students develop to convergence designs in various industrial fields by developing convergent design thinking skills in arts, science and technology, and humanities through fusion capstone design subjects.

Aims of Education

• To be equipped with the ability to apply industrial design knowledge and skills at a range of scales in an authentic place of practice
• To foster competitive industrial designers who share localization and internationalization

• To provide students with the intellectual and technical skills to actively cope with the needs of new design development along with highly technological and social environment changes
