Chemistry is the study of observing, understanding, predicting, and applying the composition. From familiar materials such as plastics and clothing to high-tech areas such as nano and bio-materials, materials and phenomena are closely related to chemical principles.

The Chemistry program at University of Ulsan has cultivated competent chemists under the ultimate goal of making mankind’s prosperous and pleasant life by developing chemistry knowledge into practical uses. It is dedicated to fostering excellent chemists for the better development of the chemical industry based on the geographical characteristics of Ulsan, a mecca of chemistry in Korea, where heavy chemical-related factories are closely located.

Aims of Education

The program aims to cultivate chemical experts who can serve society and contribute to the development of human scientific progress with proficiency in logical deduction skills through written problems and laboratory work. It also aims to offer Laboratory practice through major education focusing on laboratory practice education and to form a harmonious and independent self through the acquisition of balanced liberal education and major basic education.
