Overview

About 

The experimental classes of the Physics program at University of Ulsan allow students to experience the physical concepts further. Students can master technical skills by taking advanced classes in relation to applied physics, which assist them to design a job career in the future after graduation.

Highly motivated students in the 3rd grade of the undergraduate course obtain an opportunity to participate in an actual (a cutting-edge) research in the various fields of condensed-matter physics and materials sciences. 

According to the aptitude and interest of the individual student, a proper research topic is assigned to each selected student and he/she can carry out a separate project under the supervision of a professor in charge. This research activity is also performed using the well-equipped facilities in each laboratory which he/she belongs to.

Education aims

The program aims to cultivate professionals with the theoretical and experimental skills which are necessary to become competent physical teachers. It also wants to help students understand the basic principles and concepts of physics and the methodology of physics. In addition, it will train talented people who are motivated to explore the truth and who are excellent at solving problems. 

Another aim is for students to be equipped with the essential capabilities that physical personnel related to renewable energy, semiconductors, and new materials should have based on specialized experiments and theoretical education.
