Overview
The Social Welfare program at University of Ulsan deals with social and economic justice and the quality of life of individuals and groups.
The curriculum consisting of various theories, research methods and data analysis techniques, practical skills, sectoral welfare and field practice, aims to find social problems that we are confronted with through healthy interest in humans and society, and to suggest practical alternatives and practices.
Through this Social Welfare major, students can learn the understanding of human relationships and the interactions between people as we take a closer look at topics like age, class, ethnicity, education, work, social change, and politics and justice issues.
Aims of Education
- To create, advance, strengthen, and integrate interdisciplinary knowledge for students and the profession through research, scholarship, teaching, and practice.
- To educate students to become highly-skilled, culturally-competent and ethical practitioners who will provide effective leadership for the profession of social work
- To enhance awareness of social problems and learn problem solving abilities

Applicants should satisfy the following condition.
- An applicant with non-Korean nationality and both of their parents having non-Korean nationality
- High school graduates(or expected graduates) in Korea or overseas must hold or expect to have high school qualifications. As a minimum, an applicant must have a qualification considered to be equivalent to a Year 12 qualification (completion of high school) in Korea.
