Overview

The English Language and Literature program at University of Ulsan started with the Department of English Literature in the Department of Humanities at Ulsan Industry College in 1980, and it had re-organized into a major in English Language and Literature at College of Humanities, The University of Ulsan.

The program provides students with opportunities to study at the universities abroad through exchange programs as well as scholarships (though depending on the budget of the year). Such exchange programs are ones of the most successful and recommended experiences by graduates, especially for those who are interested in global communications.

Aims of Education

The English Language and Literature program aims:

To develop appreciation and understanding English culture and literature through critical reading and discussions
To acquire an advanced level of English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing

An applicant with non-Korean nationality and both of their parents having non-Korean nationality
High school graduates(or expected graduates) in Korea or overseas must hold or expect to have high school qualifications. As a minimum, an applicant must have a qualification considered to be equivalent to a Year 12 qualification (completion of high school) in Korea.
