Overview

The goal of the Biodiversity and Conservation with Honours programme at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia is to produce students who are knowledgeable about genetics, species and ecosystem diversity – from individual organism to its natural habitat.

Graduates who are able to apply holistic and well-rounded approach in identifying and addressing local and global issues and concerns pertaining to biodiversity and conservation; equipped with fundamental theories and practical knowledge to pursue advancement of their careers in the future; as well as ethically, morally and professionally committed to contribute to the sustainable development of society.

The Biodiversity and Conservation with Honours programme prepares graduates to be:

promoting and valuing its importance through local and global platforms
Renowned professionals / entrepreneurs who participate with various stakeholders by adopting highest ethical and professional standard in valuing biodiversity.
Competent and innovative in providing sustainable solutions to fulfill the needs of the nation in managing natural resources.

At least three (3) principal passes in the General Certificate of Education ‘Advancedlevel’ (GCE) ‘A’ Level Examination (UK Educational System) obtained in one sitting.
International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum of six (6) subjects obtained in onesitting.
A Diploma or any other Equivalent Qualification recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the Senate of the University.
Any other qualifications that are recognized by the Senate of the University as equivalent .
