The BEng Automotive Engineering (Hons) degree at University of Hertfordshire will give you the knowledge and practical experience needed to succeed in a career within the automotive industry.Industry recognised equipment: Studying at Herts you will learn how to apply computer-aided engineering and industrial-standard software, recommended by the automotive industry advisory panel.Placement year option: Previous BEng (Hons) Automotive Engineering students have completed work placementâ¯years at companies including Bentley Motors,â¯Rolls Royce Motor Cars,â¯andâ¯Triumph Motorcycles.

The BEng (Hons) Automotive Engineering course is accredited by RAes and IMechE and satisfies, in part, the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) registration for the cohort intakes from 2016 up to, and including, 2020

- Mandatory subjects: Mathematics and either Physics or Technology or engineering- based subjects, excluding General Studies/Critical Thinking
- Typical IB offer: 120–128 UCAS points from a minimum of two HL subjects at grade 4 or above, to include HL Mathematics and Physics
- Typical BTEC offer : DDM
- Mandatory subjects: Extended Diploma in Engineering (DDM) to include Distinction in a Mathematics unit
- Typical T Level offer: None
- GCSE: Grade 4/C in English Language and 4/C Mathematics.
- Access courses: Engineering diploma with 30 Level 3 credits at distinction to include maths or science or principles units. the remaining 15 L3 credits must be at merit.
