The Acting for Global Screen(Hons) Major is offered by Hong Kong Baptist University. It aims to be the most competitive undergraduate programme in acting performance, with cross-cultural and global enrichments that meet the needs of acting for screen, stage acting, acting with media technology in the film industries for both local and non-local students.

Key Facts

Graduates are all rounded acting professionals. They shall be well equipped in acting performance and highly competent with storytelling formats, be it linear and nonlinear, long form and flashy clips, and therefore will be able to perform on various media from traditional stage performance to acting with technology. The Academy of Film organises Film Festival Tours, overseas film exchange and workshops to enhance students' competitive edge and their international/ global exposure such as Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival (Barcelona, Spain), Busan International Film Festival (Korea), Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival (Toronto), Far East Film Festival (Udine, Italy), Tokyo International Film Festival (Japan), etc.

The curriculum includes internship at professional performance bodies and overseas training and learning. Students may conduct their graduation projects in English or any languages of their choice. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend audition/interview with casting experts.
