At Hertfordshire, we have strong links with the UK’s leading professional accountancy and finance bodies, including the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), the Chartered Institute of Public Finances and Accounting (CIPFA) and the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT).

These close ties mean that every part of the course is based on what today’s industry needs, making you a highly employable graduate. They also mean that when you graduate, you’ll have exemptions from some highly respected professional exams. These are valuable, respected qualifications and if you’d like to become an accountant, having them under your belt will help you become fully qualified sooner.

During your studies, you’ll also have the opportunity to join the ACCA’s accelerate scheme and the CIMA university scheme, giving you associated membership of those bodies when you graduate. Membership comes with some really valuable benefits, including discounted professional exam fees, access to great resources and exciting networking opportunities.

While you’re working towards your Accounting and Finance (Hons) degree at The University of Hertfordshire, you’ll also have the opportunity to study abroad or take a work placement.
