Overview
Graduates from Bachelor of Accounting at Southern Institute of Technology of the three-year, full-time (or equivalent part-time) programme will be able to operate in accounting related roles for a range of industries and organisations at both operational and strategic levels. Employment pathways for graduates include roles in business accounting such as: financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, taxation, treasury, banking and finance, risk management, business consultancy, across the private and public sector.
The NZQA approved Bachelor of Accounting meets the criteria and is fully accredited by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and Chartered Practising Accountant Australia (CPA).
Akonga who have completed the New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 5) Accounting Strand can be credited with the first year of the Bachelor of Accounting and may continue study from level 6.

- Successful completion of year 12
- Successful completion of one year tertiary study
- Brunei/Cambridge GCE A levels (with a minimum of 2xE grade academic subjects) or equivalent
- Successful completion of one year tertiary study from recognised university

- Fiji form 7 with an aggregate over four relevant subjects of 250 out of 400 (including min. 50% English) or successful completion of the USP Foundation Studies Programme or equivalent
