Industrial engineering and management is an integrated discipline between engineering technology and management science, integrating manufacturing technology and production planning, as well as business management.

The spirit of teaching emphasizes the important concepts of “integration of production and management” and “integration of engineering and science”, not only emphasizing the training of professional skills but also emphasizing the inculcation of management concepts, to cultivate industrial engineering talents with engineering practice and management skills, as well as the ability of systematic planning and technological integration.

Careers and opportunities

Cultivate engineering knowledge and quantitative management skills, with emphasis on basic science, then expanding to systems analysis, process management, and organization building, and then focusing on high-tech industries, traditional industries, automotive industries, and emerging industries, etc., and through intensive and systematic case studies, in-depth and simple for students to have a holistic concept.

Accreditation

In 2004, the department became the first industrial engineering department in China to be accredited by the Institute of Engineering Education and Technology (IEET), bringing the department in line with international standards.
