About this course

Lincoln Bishop University’s Sociology and Sport with Foundation Year (Hons) course takes you on a journey from the 19th-century foundations of the discipline through to the social, cultural and political changes that are reshaping our globalising world. Along the way, you’ll see how sociological thinking is crucial for people who want to understand the world around them, whether as students, tuition-fee payers, citizens, employees (or via any of their other social roles).

During the study of Sport at Lincoln Bishop University you will gain understanding in the complexities of this subject, including; the development of sport; how performance can be enhanced and how it can be managed and led. This course is designed to develop your knowledge and understanding of the sport, physical education, learning and teaching and education.

Applicants required to complete a SELT should meet the University’s minimum overall requirements and minimum scores in reading, writing, speaking and listening. Additionally, the test should have been undertaken within two years of the intended start date of the course.

Postgraduate Diplomas (PGDip) and Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) qualifications obtained from recognised UK universities within the UK are not acceptable as a SELT. English language conditions can only be waived if you have been awarded a full Master's’ degree from a recognised UK university within the UK.
