Overview
The education will give you the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in this fast-paced and constantly evolving field. You will learn to program in different languages and gain knowledge about the latest technologies, including sensors, microcomputers and wireless communication protocols, and learn how you can use those to develop innovative IoT solutions.
Part of the programme consists of projects where you work with your fellow students in small and large groups. A way of working that is similar to what you will encounter in real work environments where you learn to collaborate and communicate effectively with others, dealing with challenges and take responsibility for driving the project forward. These are valuable skills that you will benefit from no matter what career path you choose after graduation.
The education gives you the opportunity to explore and program a variety of devices, equipped with sensors that allow them to perceive their environment, and network themselves. You will receive a comprehensive computer science education that covers everything from the basics of programming to more advanced techniques for building and managing IoT devices.
The Bachelor programme is strongly rooted in the region's tech industry. We have a close dialogue with the labor market to be able to offer an education that meets the needs of the IT industry.
During the program, you will encounter the business industry through work placement, guest lectures and projects where you collaborate with companies in the local area. This gives you the opportunity to apply your skills, gain practical experience and make valuable contacts.
After graduation, great career opportunities await you. As a graduate in computer engineering with expertise in IoT, you are sought after in the labor market and can for example work as an:
- IoT developer
- IoT consultant
- Product manager
- Technical architect
- System integrator
No matter which direction you choose, you have the opportunity to work with the latest technology and be part of a fast-growing industry.
