Overview

As a computer engineer, you can help create systems in which sensors, embedded devices, communication networks, cloud and edge resources, and AI-based components work together. These technologies are used in areas ranging from industry, transport and energy to healthcare, smart environments and sustainable development.

From sensors to intelligent solutions

The programme combines mathematics and engineering science with programming and computer engineering. You will study electronics, sensors, digital technology, computer architecture, embedded systems, operating systems, computer networks, cybersecurity, algorithms and data structures.

You will also learn about machine learning, distributed and connected systems, cloud and edge computing, and the design of intelligent systems. Through laboratory work and projects, you will integrate hardware and software into integrated, secure and functional engineering solutions.

Preparing you for your future career

The programme is closely connected to the regional tech industry and combines theoretical studies with practical experience. Guest lectures, industry-related projects and a work placement allow you to apply your knowledge, understand professional engineering practice and build valuable contacts.

In the final year, you will complete an extensive systems engineering project and an independent degree project. The degree prepares you for an engineering career as well as further studies at master’s level.
