Overview
Engineering from Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences is perfect for international students who want to study engineering in Germany and gain German language skills as part of their studies. The programme is offered at our two campuses Rosenheim or Burghausen. This degree programme has two parts:
- basic studies (taught in English) lasting three semesters with a common first semester
- main studies (taught in German) from the fourth semester onwards.
Basic studies - Engineering Fundamentals
Still undecided which specialisation in engineering is right for you? Our IBE curriculum is your best choice. The modular basic studies will teach you the fundamentals ofengineering, and keep the study programme flexible. Start your Bachelor's studies offered at Rosenheim or Burghausen, get to know the topics on-site and then make your choice out of 10 specialisations.
In addition to the English-taught engineering classes, you will attend courses in German as a foreign language to complete your main studies in German-taught classes.

After having completed the basic studies at Rosenheim or Burghausen, you switch into your main study classes and specialisation of choice. Elective modules, internships and hands-on projects in our labs allow you to follow your interests and gain an individual set of competences. You will study alongside German students in one of the ten specialisations offered by the two campuses.

General requirements
To study with us, you must meet the following requirements with your application:
- Higher education entrance qualification (proven by a VPD review from uni-assist)
- English language certificate B2 (CEFR)
- German language certificate A2 (CEFR)
All applicants who have obtained their higher education entrance qualification at a non-German institution must apply for a preliminary review documentation (=Vorprüfungsdokumentation, VPD) at uni-assist prior to their application to TH Rosenheim.
- Application for a VPD at uni-assist is always open for the start in the summer semester.
- You will have to submit the preliminary review documentation (VPD) directly to TH Rosenheim with your application.
- We recommend you to apply for a VPD as soon as possible since it takes at least four to six weeks until you receive your result.

Every student at TH Rosenheim is required to pay the Student Union fee each semester. The student union fee is 85 € per semester.
