Clean Energy Processes at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) focuses on sustainable production, distribution and utilisation of renewable energy for chemical industry, reflecting on changes to chemical processes. The unique programme enables students not only to reflect and work on one of the most pressing question of our time, energy change but also to develop and obtain knowledge on cutting-edge research in energy processes done by the Helmholtz Institute for Renewable Energies and other relevant institutes (e.g. Energy Campus Nürnberg, Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits, Bavarian Center for Applied Energy Research e.V.).
Graduates of the programme stand out due to an extensive knowledge of innovative technologies for renewable new energy systems and energy production in chemical industry. They can significantly participate in the successful introduction of new sustainable energy systems and energy processes and adequately evaluate sustainability on a global scale.

- The requirements for application are a higher education entrance certificate equivalent to the German Abitur and sufficient knowledge of the English language (B2, CEFR).
