Overview

During the Physics (research placement) programme at University of Sussex you’ll join our experts and immerse yourself in world-class research. From exploring the smallest particles, to observing the origins and evolution of our universe, and to unravelling our universe’s mysteries such as the nature of dark matter, quantum gravity and quantum effects in black holes, you’ll have the opportunity to work on any of our areas of expertise. In your integrated Masters year, you’ll also develop advanced physical skills through working further with one of the expert research groups in our Department.

You’ll be part of a close community – our lively Physics Society arranges regular social events. Our building is a real hub of activity. For entry, either Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches or Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation at Higher Level will be accepted
