You work in a supportive community where your creativity is encouraged and developed. During your learning in the Dance (Hons) course at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), the discipline and etiquette expected of a professional becomes second nature to you, making you work ready.

Dance Studio

LIPA has four dance studios. Three of them have rafter high ceilings, including one with equipment specifically used for aerial dance. They all have top of the line Harlequin sprung floors, barres and full wall mirrors and each has a dedicated sound system with iPad access. Dance studios are open for the students to use in the evenings and on weekends, when they are not in scheduled classes or rehearsals.

64 UCAS tariff points required from level 3 qualifications

For example:

Two A Levels at grade C or above
BTEC Extended Diploma: MPP
BTEC Diploma: MM
T level: P (D or E)
International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass including 64 points from Higher Level subjects

You also need 5 GCSEs grade 4/C or above including English and Maths or Level 2 equivalents.

Mature applicants (aged 21+): if you do not hold the qualifications listed but have relevant work experience, you are welcome to apply. Your application will be considered on an individual basis.

You need to meet our English language requirement - a minimum of IELTS 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening). We also accept other English language examination equivalents.
