Overview
Mathematics is a fundamental language of science, technology, and finance, and our graduates find themselves with many versatile and exciting career options. â¯â¯
The Mathematics (Hons) course has aâ¯flexible format whichâ¯allowsâ¯you to combine modules from pure and applied mathematics and statistics, together with optional modulesâ¯in related subjects.
You’ll begin by developing your existing mathematical knowledge, before moving onto more advanced subjects as the course progresses. In later years, our optional modules mean that you can tailor yourâ¯studiesâ¯around yourâ¯interests.â¯You can alsoâ¯take optional modules from other Schools,â¯likeâ¯theâ¯School of Environmental Sciences, the School of Computing Sciences,â¯or Norwich Business School, offering you a breath of choice and opportunity.â¯
University of East Anglia â¯lecturers are highly enthusiastic and knowledgeable.â¯Most are activeâ¯researchers who conduct world-leading work which is incorporated into their teaching. You’ll benefit from a high academic-staff-to-student ratio,â¯ensuring that you graduate with a deep understanding of mathematics.â¯â¯
There are many varied and stimulating career paths open to you after you graduate. Our graduates secure position in fields such as accountancy, banking and finance, statistics and data analysis.
