Overview
The King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals Aerospace Engineering program contains the required general education courses in the areas of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Islamic and Arabic studies, English and Physical Education. Moreover, the curriculum is augmented by a number of elective courses in various branches of Aerospace Engineering.

A student has the oppurtunity to take the appropriate elective courses (four technical electives) in the area of Aerospace Engineering in which he would like to specialize. It balances theory with application and provides practical experience with laboratory sessions as applicable.

General requirements
- The applicant must be a high school graduate (General, Computer Science and Engineering, Health and Life) or international school graduate (Natural Sciences) in the current year or the previous year.
- A minimum SAT score of 1350 is required to apply. Meeting the minimum score does not ensure admission. Admissions are competitive.
- SAT scores must be directly sent to King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals from the SAT Test Center.
- An English language proficiency test is mandatory. Applicants should score at least 55 in the STEP test or its equivalent in TOEFL or IELTS.
