Overview
Throughout their studies, students will have different opportunities to explore critical thinking process behind their production outcomes. The program is formulated from the belief in creative design values that lead to the core of any principles in design businesses that require an innovative thinking approach. The program is constructed in the dialectic forms of knowledge and practice with creative experimentations in order to understand the value process of architectural and spatial design.
Furthermore, the Integrated Design in Emerging Architecture program at Chiang Mai University will give special emphasis on teaching, training and communication in English, with a dedicated panel of intemational design academics and the opportunity to take part in internship abroad in order for students to build the best design thinking foundation for their further studies and interests after graduation.

The goal of this program is to produce highly qualified graduates that can become future leaders in national and international architecturel interior design/ urban planning organisations, and a multitude of other creative industries such as product/fashion/ graphic event design offices. General requirements
- Applicants who submit a Standard Equivalency Certification must have Physics and/or Mathematics in their transcript or listed in a standardized test (e.g. AP exam scores).
- Personal Art portfolio, design and handicraft.
- Statement of Purpose, stating their interest in the program and their intentions for their future.
- Reference Letter from a homeroom teacher, a guidance counselor, or a teacher who can certify the student’s portfolio work as well as his/her ability, talents, and development.
- A scanned copy of the high school graduation certificate for Mattayom Suksa 6, or Grade 12 or equivalent, Thai or English, or the foreign equivalent
- A scanned copy of the official high school transcript, Thai or English, or the foreign equivalent
- An official certificate of English language proficiency (if available).
- A scanned copy of passport.
- One 2x2 inch-photo in school uniform or in formal dress taken within the last 6 months (in jpg format).
