Key Facts
The Social Science and Sustainable Development program at Chiang Mai University incorporates disciplines as varied as anthropology, sociology, political science, geography, development studies, gender studies, and ethnicity, among others. Through diverse courses provided and the adoption of social science conceptual and analytical tools, these will deepen students understanding of the economic, political, social, culture and environmental changes taking place in the region as well as other emerging issues and phenomena ranging from resource management to migration and climate change to food security and emerging diseases and cyber-crimes.

- Graduated from or studying in M.6 in Thailand secondary education system or
- Graduated from an international school in Thailand or
- Graduated from an overseas institution/have certificated in the list of secondary education equivalency system
- A scanned copy of the high school graduation certificate for Mattayom Suksa 6, or Grade 12 or equivalent, Thai or English, or the foreign equivalent and a certificate of current student status (if studying).
- A scanned copy of the official high school transcript, Thai or English, or the foreign equivalent (if not in Thai or English, please submit the original document with an official English translation).
- An official certificate of English language proficiency (if available).
- For non-Thai citizens: a scanned copy of passport.
- One 2x2 inch-photo in school uniform or in formal dress taken within the last 6 months (in jpg format).
