Key facts of the Biological Sciences program at Tokyo Metropolitan University:

In order to conduct outstanding bioscience research, internationality, communication skills, computer literacy, are indispensable. Therefore, the university also invests a large amount of energy on the education of English and Japanese language skills, and also bioinformatics.

Through the curriculum, we aim to nurture Skills and knowledge for studying nature, which is highly beneficial even when applied to activities outside research. Practical training and research in marine spots and fields are also conducted mainly during the summer.

If you intend to apply for this selection as a person already taken aNationwide University Entrance Examination (outside Japan), please contact the Admission Division, Administrative Affairs Department of TMU in advance.

To apply for thisselection, applicants must submit a TOEFL iBT or IELTS score at the time of application. The test score should be sent directly to the university from the testing organization, which may take 7 to 8 weeks from a request being made.

Please give yourself plenty of time for the score request procedure by considering the time necessary for delivery. For details, contact the testing organization.

If you are required to submit a SAT Reasoning Test or ACT (+ Optional Writing Test)score, it should also be sent directly to the university from the testing organization. Please allow enough time to request the score so that it arrives at the university before the application period ends.
