About the program
The Metallurgical and Materials Engineering program at Sakarya University trains engineers and scientists who are experts in their fields, who have adopted the understanding of research and inquiry, who follow the principle of lifelong learning, who are innovative, who have the awareness of solving the problems of the society, who have the culture of society and ethical values, and to conduct research for the local and national industry.
The Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering is a nationally and internationally recognized leading department in the field of metallurgical and materials engineering at the undergraduate and graduate level in the education, research and application of knowledge for the benefit of society. The department will be a resource for technical innovation, scientist and engineer. Graduates will stand out in industry, public and academia.

General requirements
- The original High School diploma and its translation approved by Turkish Embassies or Consulates.
- An equivalency letter” obtained from the ministry of education of Turkey or from Turkish Embassies, showing that the diploma is equivalent to a Turkish High School Diploma.
- Applicants who apply and admitted with SAT results need to direct their result from College Board until the registration; otherwise, they will be asked to confirm the results of the exam at the SAT College Board official website with their usernames and password during registration
- International students are required to hold the official residence permit in Turkey.
- A copy of the Passport, ID Card, Blue Card
- For students with Dual Citizenship, a copy of the Official Identity Registration Document.
- Four 4.5x6 cm size passport photos
- Tuition fee receipt
