The Mechanical Engineering programme from Baskent University equips the students with the skills of analyzing, synthesizing, modeling and solving engineering problems by teaching them basic knowledge in the fields of mathematics, science, materials science and mechanical systems.

Students are chosen by the centrally administered entrance exam conducted by OSYM.
Admissions to the programmes are made in accordance with the rules and regulations set down by The Higher Education Council of Turkey in compliance with the laws and statutes. Students apply to Başkent University on the dates announced in order to complete their enrolment to the programmes. Unless a written excuse is presented, enrolment procedures have to be carried out by the students themselves individually. The process is administered by the Student Registrar’s Office.

The placement of students in the Programme is held through the National Student Election and Placement System which is operated by the Measurement, Selection, and Placement Centre.
