Key Features

The need for nursing profession at international level is increased due to the aging population, increased health demands, and shortage of nurses all over the world.

Baskent University's program aims to educate nurses capable of giving professional and qualified care at national and international level, in terms of health protection and promotion as well as supporting individuals requiring advanced care, sensitive to people and health problems, adopting professional ethical standards, carrying leadership role, believing in teamwork, aware of the importance of self and life-long learning, having autonomy and critical thinking skills, responding changes in healthcare requirements, having professional competence and responsibility, and paying attention to intercultural differences.

The Nursing program at Baskent Universit will allow the student to make an effective career planning with compulsory and elective courses. The aim of the program is to provide the skills to students for taking part in every step of health services at national and international level.

General requirements

Admissions to the programs are made in accordance with the rules and regulations set down by The Higher Education Council of Turkey in compliance with the laws and statutes. Students apply to Başkent University on the dates announced in order to complete their enrolment to the programs. Unless a written excuse is presented, enrolment procedures have to be carried out by the students themselves individually. The process is administered by the Student Registrar’s Office.

The placement of students in the Program is held through the National Student Election and Placement System which is operated by the Measurement, Selection, and Placement Centre.
Students are admitted with the exam conducted by OSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center).
