Since the 2018-2019 academic year, the Dentistry programme from Baskent University have been taught in English. Education of dentistry is comprised of a total of 5 years where the first 3 years is consisted of preclinical courses, followed by 2 years of clinical training.

Preclinical courses are comprised of basic medical sciences and dentistry courses apart from laboratory practice related to dentistry. As a part of each student's training at preclinical level, all dental faculty students find the opportunity of receiving training on patient simulators under supervision of faculty members. Apart from their theoretical classes, 4th and 5th year students are trained in Prosthodontics, Periodontology, Pedodontics, Orthodontics, Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery disciplines

Admissions to the programmes are made in accordance with the rules and regulations set down by The Higher Education Council of Turkey in compliance with the laws and statutes. Students apply to Başkent University on the dates announced in order to complete their enrolment to the programmes. Unless a written excuse is presented, enrolment procedures have to be carried out by the students themselves individually. The process is administered by the Student Registrar’s Office.

The placement of students in the Programme is held through the National Student Election and Placement System which is operated by the Measurement, Selection, and Placement Centre.
