Key Features

The aim of the China University of Petroleum-Beijing's English program is to train high-level professionals who have deep knowledge of English language and literature, broad knowledge of humanities and social sciences, innovation and cooperation, and can engage in teaching, translation and research in relation to English language.
The School of Foreign Languages is led by a pool of distinguished experts and scholars. It has a registered staff number of 65, including 3 full professors, 17 associate professors and 39 lecturers. Of the faculty members, 20 have acquired doctoral degree and 35 master degrees, with 37 having studied abroad. In recent years, the School has achieved encouraging progress in research, with an increasing number of high-level publications, and research programs funded by the state government, the Ministry of Educationor the Beijing Municipality.

Application Requirements:

Not a citizen of China, in good health and have no criminal record.

GPA≧3.0/5.0

Chinese taught programs: HSK 4 ( 222 or above )

English taught programs: IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL≥75 or TOEFL Essentials≥8, (DI Code: C806) for non-native speakers of English.

A certificate which can prove you have been taught in English during your previous study for more than two years.

Applicants must be under the age of 25 when applying

Application Materials:

Scanned copies of all China visa pages and China entry and exit record pages

Notarized copies of your highest level degree certificates and transcripts

Non-criminal record

Physical Examination Form ( with all laboratory and X-ray reports ) taken not more than six months prior to admission
