Overview

At the successful completion of the Bachelor Program in Russian and English at The University of Jordan (UJ) the student should be able to:

Analyze and explain conventional narrative and descriptive texts, spoken and written, related to describing people, places, and things.
Analyze, discuss, and critique the grammatical system and function of natural human language in Russian and English languages, and develop his/her abilities and skills in phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, discourse analysis and pragmatics.
Develop and use his/her Russian and English language skills and engage in communicative tasks and activities in academic and non-academic contexts.
Analyze and evaluate major literary works, genres, periods, and critical approaches in Russian and English literatures.

The minimum rates of secondary school certificate required to apply for enrollment

Students holding a Community College Diploma (C.C.D) or equivalent can be admitted (to counterpart programs) according to the following conditions: A student is a holder of a Jordanian Secondary School Certificate or “official” equivalent.

Student’s average at (C.C.D) must not be less than good or less than (70%) for engineering and pharmacy faculties, (68%) the rest of faculties.

English Proficiency

An authenticated copy of both the civil identification card and Birth Certificate (for Jordanians)

A copy of the passport
