Profile of the Management Information Systems programme from University of Nicosia:

MIS graduates are expected to have a solid foundation of education for continued career growth or academic development. More specifically, MIS graduates are expected to have a solid foundation of business education, an in-depth specialization in Information Systems, strong communication skills and capabilities to integrate and synthesize information technology solutions for their business domain.

Objectives:

The main objectives of the programme are to provide the necessary learning experiences to graduates so that they are capable of:

  • Improving organizational processes
  • Exploiting opportunities created by technology innovations
  • Understanding and addressing information requirements
  • Designing and managing enterprise architecture
  • Identifying and evaluating solution and sourcing alternatives
  • Securing data and infrastructure, and
  • Understanding, managing and controlling IT risks.
Career Prospects:

Graduates of our MIS Programme will be ready for entry in post-graduate Programmes or the job market. The Department is pursuing active collaborations with other Universities through the Erasmus Programme and the AIS initiatives at regional level to maximize the exposure of the students to career prospects at academic and professional level.

    The TOEFL – or Test OF English as a Foreign Language – offers a paper-based test (PBT). The final, overall PBT score ranges between 310 and 677, and is based on an average taken from the three test components (listening, structure, and reading).     65

    The TOEFL – or Test Of English as a Foreign Language – offers an internet-based test (iBT). The final, overall iBT score ranges between 0 and 120, and includes a scaled average from the four components (reading, listening, speaking, and writing). Read more about TOEFL (iBT).

  • The general admission requirement for entry to an undergraduate programme of study is a High School Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
