The programme covers the design of various machine parts, mechanical transfer, principles of machine industry, advanced processing methods in mechanical engineering, types of tools and machines, equipment installation and maintenance technology, production and environmental safety, and the quantitative and qualitative analysis of hazardous and anthropogenic factors of production.

The Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering at Western Caspian University includes the study of principles and methods of technical and economic substantiation in production, analysis of new technological processes and the principles of efficient use of natural resources and environment, and the development of environmentally-friendly technology. Students are trained to use modern software and obtain comprehensive knowledge of automated design systems such as AutoCAD and other modern software.

Upon successfully completing of the programme, graduates pursue careers in governmental structures (Ministry of Ecology & Natural Resources, Ministry of Agriculture), textile and light industries metal processing, and oil and gas processing industries.
