Introduction

In Pakistan, Poultry Production sector has been playing vital role in bridging the gap between supply and demand of animal protein foods for its ever increasing human population. Eggs and poultry meat are among the best sources of high biological value animal proteins. Human resource development in this field is required to enhance poultry production in the country.

This fast growing dynamic sector is presently in the active phase of transformation from its conventional housing and management into modern, high-tech environmentally controlled housing systems. Besides this, recently, there has been a trend of adoption of integrated poultry farming. This sector requires provision of high-tech and better skilled manpower. We produce professionals capable of tackling problems in poultry sector related to breeding, genetics, management, nutrition, processing, marketing and poultry waste management.

General requirements

Candidates securing at least 60% marks (excluding Hafiz-e-Quran) in F.Sc (Pre-Medical) or any other equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University can apply for admission for all degree programes. However canidates securing at least 50% marks (excluding Hafiz-e-Quran) in F.Sc (Pre-Medical) or any other equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University can apply for admission in B.S. (Hons.) Fisheries & Aquaculture, Biological Sciences, Poultry Science, Dairy Technology and Botany.

The final merit will be based on marks obtained in Matric / O-Level or any other equivalent examination and F.Sc Part-Il / A-Level or any other equivalent examination in three subjects (Theory only): F.Sc (Pre-Medical): Physics, Chemistry, Biology, F.Sc(Pre-Eng.): Physics, Chemistry, Math Weightage: F.Sc(70%) and Matric (30% )

Age Limit: Candidate must not be over 23 years of age on the last date of submission of application
