Introduction

The Biotechnology program at the University of Veterinary and Animal Science, Lahore provide students with fundamental training in basic scientific principles, specific concepts, techniques and applications used in Biotechnology. Students will gain an understanding of living organisms at cellular and molecular level through the core courses of this degree program. Science biotechnology concerns the application of science to mankind and economic development, many business and law programs have incorporated issues related to biotechnology into their curricula.

Our program geared towards training individuals and arousing interest in the subject are imperative. The graduates can be employed in various fields like veterinary and agriculture sectors, drug & sugar industries, database development, clinical work, and its management, pharmaceutical areas, research methodology and tools designing universities and research institutions and many more. Candidates securing at least 60% marks (excluding Hafiz-e-Quran) in F.Sc (Pre-Medical) or any other equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University can apply for admission for all degree programes.

The final merit will be based on marks obtained in Matric / O-Level or any other equivalent examination and F.Sc Part-Il / A-Level or any other equivalent examination in three subjects (Theory only): F.Sc (Pre-Medical): Physics, Chemistry, Biology, F.Sc(Pre-Eng.): Physics, Chemistry, Math Weightage: F.Sc(70%) and Matric (30% )

Age Limit: Candidate must not be over 23 years of age on the last date of submission of application
