Career Prospects
- Some people may think that most GPAD graduates pursue careers in politics or government, but our graduates can shine in a lot of careers and have very diversified career development paths. We do have a higher percentage of graduates serving in the government and public organizations, but our graduates also work in a wide variety of sectors, including commercial corporations, education, NGOs, teaching and research in universities, and other professional sectors, such as law and social work.
- Our training provides students with advanced knowledge of government, policy and public affairs, which gives them an edge in serving in government or public organizations. Our emphasis on independent thinking, analytical ability, presentation skills, adaptability and social sensitivity helps students develop vital skills that allow them to prosper in different professions. Our alumni are employed by various non-governmental corporations and bodies, including JPMorgan Chase & Co., the Societe Generale Group, Goldman Sachs, Hang Seng Bank, MTR Corporation, and the Equal Opportunities Commission.
