About the programme

Training of specialists with in-depth training and skills in the use of geo-information systems and technologies in geology.

Applied Geology affects all aspects of geological study, geo-mapping, cartography, remote sensing methods of the Earth, work with applied geo-information systems and technologies, modern software products and databases.

Students learn to use geological information systems, to work on specialized geological and mathematical modeling programs, to calculate reserves based on new KazRC international standards, and to use UAV in geology.

You will be able to apply modern technologies for processing large amounts of information, analyze them for decision-making in line with the current trends in geo-information technologies sphere.

The program from Satbayev University provides educational geological practice at its own landfill in Karatau, two production practices in geological, geological survey, prospecting companies, mining and oil-gas companies.
