Overview
The Degree employs innovative forms of teaching, with the adoption of interactive and experimental learning methods by involving students in a number of applications, laboratories and internships, and teaching the most recent technological tools of ICT.
The Degree has a strong European and international character, and is aimed at providing students with theoretical and managerial skills in order to successfully manage social innovation and spur social entrepreneurship, which is aimed at achieving a positive social impact in the external society, as well as a better inclusion of all agents with a particular attention to vulnerable groups (i.e., people with disabilities, migrants, individuals with gender identities, the elderly). The program is also aimed at helping students understand how manage the territory and the necessary resources to improve the well-being of the communities.
The Sustainable Business for Societal Challenges degree from University of Florence is characterized by high level of interdisciplinarity, ranging from business, management, chemistry and neuroscience. This allows offer to students a multifaceted overview of a complex phenomenon such as sustainability.
The Degree has been designed with the involvement and support of the various social partners, including the most dynamic organizations in the field of research, innovation and social impact.

General requirements
Non-EU students residing abroad who intend to enrol in the first year of a first cycle (bachelor) degree (laurea triennale, L) or single cycle degree (laurea magistrale a ciclo unico, LM c.u.) must:
- have obtained a valid qualification for access to university courses at the end of a school period of at least 12 years (if the qualification was obtained following a shorter schooling period, consult the ministerial provisions on the Ministry website, annex 1 (pdf) - Ministry procedures (pdf)
- submit the pre-registration application to the Italian Representation in the country of origin within the deadline set by the Ministry.
All applicants are requested to complete the CISIA English-TOLC E Test.
