Overview
Accredited by Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC), the curriculum includes core modules such as Biosafety, Biosecurity and Bioethics, Green Biotechnology, Molecular Virology, and Microbial Fermentation. In the final year, you will explore specialised courses like Clinical Biotechnology, Cell and Tissue Culture, Metabolic Biology, and Research Methodology.
You will have hands-on learning opportunities in more than 12 modern laboratories, including Animal Cell Culture Laboratory, Molecular Biology/CRISPR-Cas Laboratory, and Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory. These labs, combined with workshops and practical sessions, are designed to help you build technical expertise and sharpen your research skills, giving you valuable experience in applying biotechnological principles.

General requirements
- 12 years of education, Higher Secondary School Certificate / Intermediate with minimum 2nd division. For students who have completed 14 years of education (BSc) or equivalent, fast-track enrolment is allowed in the 5th semester of the 4-year BS Biotechnology programme. Deficiency courses may be offered to those requiring them.
- UOL entry test is mandatory.
