The primary focus of the Formulation Science (Hons) programme at UCSI University is the intensive hands-on approach and attachments to industries to enhance the knowledge and skills of students for global careers.

This Formulation Science (Hons) programme will equip the students with entrepreneurship skills, marketing as well as the international and local regulatory and environmental standards, with a pathway to register for a related Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences programme upon graduation.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of this programme can venture into fields related to the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmeceutical, food and beverage, biotechnology, and veterinary products. Other career opportunities include quality control and assurance, regulatory services, product management, sales and support services, research and development for industrial commercial products.

A-Level

Minimum Grade C in Chemistry and Biology/Physics/Mathematics.
Pass SPM or equivalent with minimum three (3) credits including Mathematics, Chemistry and one any other subject. The credit requirement at SPM level can be waived should the grades obtained at the STPM / A-level / Diploma / Matriculation / Foundation level are equivalent/higher.

Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Degree/ Equivalent

CGPA 2.00 and above with minimum of Grade C in Chemistry and Biology/Physics/Mathematics.
The credit requirement at SPM level can be waived should the grades obtained at the STPM / A-level / Diploma / Matriculation / Foundation level are equivalent/higher.

International Baccalaureate(IB)

Minimum score of 26/42 in 6 subjects including Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics/Physics.
